Elucidating what I can of the title... The idea of the Philosopher King originated from Plato, exemplifying how dudes who only contemplated all day are rightful sovereigns of the rubes who didn't. Anyhow this was recucitated during the Enlightenment, thus I had Frederick II of Prussia in mind as I stapled this.
